Hello, welcome to our story

Trever’s father: Walter Babcock performed on-site custom slaughtering in the Bennington and
surrounding areas for years while a young Trever would shadow and learn the skills to assist his
father; this is how it all began.
Trever met Greg back in the 1990’s while deer hunting and over the years a friendship was
born. Right out of high school Trever went to work in the dairy industry and in 1995 began his career
in the Bovine Genetics and Animal Health starting out as an A.I. Technician and has spent many
years working throughout different parts of the United States before deciding it was time to return
home in 2009 to Southern Vermont.
Greg and Trever reconnected when Stratton’s Custom Meats was formed in 2010 and worked
with Greg on weekends when extra help was needed. In 2023, Trever approached Greg about possibly buying the business when Greg was
ready to retire. Prior to making this change, Trever has managed a team of 30 employees in the New
England Region for the past 10 years.
Trever and Nikki met in 2009 and married in 2010 and have two wonderful children Mitchell and
Ayden. Together, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, Camping and experiencing the
outdoors, exploring new places with their 3 golden retrievers.
During downtime, if there ever really is such a thing; Trever enjoys being outdoors, hunting with
family and friends, wildlife conservation, forest and land preservation and being involved in the
agricultural community he grew up in.

Nikki enjoys working on the farm, tending to the garden and cuddling up with the dogs and a good book.  She continues to work as an AVP-Commercial Credit Analyst full time in addition to working behind the scenes for Stratton’s.  We look forward to working with you and meeting you.
